Join a Wellness Weekend at Great Camp Sagamore. This National Historic Landmark, an Adirondack Great Camp, provides a magnificent wilderness setting to reconnect with yourself. We have a select group of wellness professionals who will offer opportunities for you to relax and revitalize yourself. Enjoy gentle movement and meditation classes, sound therapy, guided walks, paddling, and more. Participate as much or as little as you wish. The meditative practices invite curiosity and self-inquiry resulting in a heightened sense of body-intelligence, your instincts, and ultimately what’s most essential in life. Mary shares yogic and Taoist principles with an emphasis on how appropriately applied yoga and qigong practices, with the understanding of the laws of nature, cultivates energy healing promoting vitality and longevity. Come - embrace simplicity - set yourself free to be. Breathe, relax, feel, watch, and allow.

Mary Bartel, Yoga Instructor

Mary Bartel, a mind-body wellness professional since 2000, has a private Yoga Therapy practice and teaches group classes on and off-site from her studio - Inner Quest Yoga and Wellness Center in Saranac Lake - here in the Adirondacks. She is known for her functional and practical teaching style which is adaptive so most people can participate in her group classes. Class participants can come away with new techniques and perhaps even new perspectives to face daily challenges with greater resilience. 

Mary is an outdoor enthusiast and hopes to also see or be with retreat participants hiking the trails, paddling on the private lake, bowling in the outdoor pavilion, and just sitting at night for a fireside gathering.

9:30 am - Quiet meditative hike to marvel at nature (3.5 to 3.8 mi. RT)
12:00 pm - Lunch
1:15 pm - Free time to relax
4:30 pm - Flowing Qigong movements and breathwork ... to wind down

8:30 pm - Campfire (Lean-to)
