The Adirondack Traditional Arts Demonstration Series at Great Camp Sagamore

For decades, Great Camp Sagamore has celebrated and preserved the rich tradition of Adirondack craftsmanship by bringing these skills to life for visitors through immersive, hands-on experiences. During select dates throughout the season, traditional artisans join our daily guided walking tours, offering live demonstrations that connect guests directly to the region’s cultural heritage.

To experience these time-honored arts in action, simply book a tour during one of the residency periods listed below. Click on an event to learn more about each artisan and the unique craft they bring to Sagamore.

Enhance your visit by adding lunch in our historic Dining Hall overlooking Sagamore Lake. Please note that lunch must be reserved in advance and can be added during the ticket booking process. To reserve your spot, select a demonstration of interest and click “Book Now.”
