We are so close!

Thank you for matching the $30,000 pledged by 6 generous donors!

BECAUSE OF YOUR HELP, we have only $14,300 TO GO.

Three of Great Camp Sagamore’s Plein Air painters have donated paintings to help us close the gap by August 31.

Beginning on August 18, anyone who donates $50 or more will have their name placed in a drawing to win one of 4 paintings donated by these three painters.

THANK YOU TO OUR ARTISTS: Barbara Danowski; Shelby Harrison; and Gretchel Hathaway.

Keep scrolling to see the work they are donating.

Dr. Barbara Danowski is a cell biologist and Professor of Biological Sciences at Union College in Schenectady, NY. The 2016 Plein Air Painting Workshop at Great Camp Sagamore was her first introduction to painting (outside of kindergarten). She fell in love with the luminous colors as well as the unpredictability of watercolor painting, and has returned to Sagamore every summer for the plein air workshops, enjoying the instruction, the camaraderie and the peace and beauty of this special place.

Shelby Harrison is a recently retired government administrator from the Albany, NY area. “I have attended the Plein Air painting program at beautiful Great Camp Sagamore for three years. Each year, I’ve tried to include the iconic red Adirondack chairs in my paintings with disastrous results, until this year! I hope you enjoy this chair painted from the porch on Main Lodge. I’m looking forward to painting another one on the porch next year when the restoration is complete!”

As of July 21: $82,000 to go.

As of August 18: only $14,300 to go.
